You might recognize Eva Amurri Martino from her role in 2004′s Saved! or from her sultry 2009 guest stint on Californication. Or maybe you’re just experiencing genetic déjà vu: She is Susan Sarandon’s daughter. This summer, the actress, 27, is hoping to seduce audiences in the ultra-raunchy Adam Sandler comedy That’s My Boy (June 15), playing a teacher who has an ­affair with — and gets impregnated by — her ­underage student. Amurri Martino also managed to score a gig for her mom when Sandler suggested casting ­Sarandon as the older version of her character. ”My mom’s gotten me into a few movies,” she says. ”So it’s nice to return the favor. She jokes about it and says, ‘In my old age, you’ll get me all my work.”

A new Red Band trailer for Columbia Pictures’ comedy That’s My Boy is now online. Directed by Sean Anders, the June 15 release stars Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, James Caan, Eva Amurri, Susan Sarandon, Milo Ventimiglia, Will Forte, Colin Quinn, Todd Bridges, Vanilla Ice and Ian Ziering.

While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd’s 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd’s world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills.

Susan Sarandon is as famous for her activism as she is her acting. She’s passed both a sense of on-screen timing and social responsibility to her daughter Eva Amurri Martino — they’ve played mother-daughter in movies like The Banger Sisters and the upcoming (appropriately titled) Mother’s Day, as well as campaigned together against human trafficking. What have you learned from each other?
Susan: That every day is a miracle.
Eva: When somebody tells you who they are or what they want in life, believe them!

Favorite memory from Eva’s childhood…
Susan: The first time she managed to pull herself up to standing in her crib…her face showed wonder and empowerment.
Eva: On our birthdays when we woke up, my mom would have tied the end of a ball of string to our bedpost that trailed all over the house. We would follow it to find our presents in the bathtub, in a cupboard, behind a plant…. It was an adventure. It made our day so much more special.

The key to getting the next generation socially aware is…
Susan: To educate them. Put faces on the issues, then give them the means to follow through once their imaginations and empathy have been activated. Please spotlight Somaly Mam — who is mother to so many.
Eva: Philanthropy is something you can work in to your everyday life. Donate toys, canned goods or clothes to a local drive. Donate your time to a local soup kitchen or shelter. It doesn’t have to be every day or some grand gesture. It’s important to be aware of your community and to do what you can.

Its being reported by Deadline.com that Eva Amurri Martino and her mother Susan Sarandon have signed on to the independent film “Mother’s Day”.

Susan Sarandon and her daughter Eva Amurri Martino have joined the cast of Mother’s Day. The indie drama follows 12 sets of Mothers and daughters over the course of a single Mother’s Day. Sarandon and Martino are the first cast announced. Paul Duddridge, who also wrote the screenplay, will direct Mother’s Day. Danielle James is producing. Martino played Sarandon’s daughter in 2002′s The Banger Sisters and a younger version of her mother in 1995′s Dead Man Walking. Martino is repped by Paradigm and One Talent Management. Sarandon is repped by ICM.
